Our organic chickpeas can be used in many ways in the kitchen, they taste great as a side dish, in soups, as humus or in salads and, when ground, are great as a base for falafels and spreads of all kinds. The high vegetable protein content of 19% is particularly noteworthy. Thus the chickpeas belong to the absolute highlights among the legumes.
Simply soak the chickpeas in water, either overnight or for about 3-4 hours. Then drain the water and cook in a saucepan with fresh water for about 1-2 hours until the chickpeas are soft enough. The longer the soaking, the shorter the cooking time.
